  The student will craft different items in Minecraft, such as tools or armor. Each item requires a certain number of materials. They can practice addition by counting how many materials they have and how many more they need to craft an item.

• Mining for Resources

  While mining, the student can keep track of how many ores they collect. They can practice subtraction by calculating how many ores they have after crafting tools or using them. For example, if they start with 10 diamonds and use 3, how many do they have left?
