Objective

By the end of this lesson, you will be able to understand how water flows through funnels and jars, and recognize the concept of gravity.

Materials and Prep

  • 1 funnel
  • 2 empty jars
  • Water
  • A flat surface to work on

No prior knowledge or preparation is required for this lesson.

Activities

  1. Place the funnel on top of one of the empty jars.
  2. Pour water into the funnel and observe what happens.
  3. Switch the funnel to the other empty jar and repeat step 2.
  4. Discuss and compare the water flow in both jars.
