Objective
By the end of this lesson, Lively will understand the basic types of weather, including sunny, rainy, windy, and snowy. Lively will also learn how to identify different weather conditions and express them creatively through activities.
Materials and Prep
- A sunny spot for outdoor observation
- A space for indoor activities (like drawing or acting)
- Access to Lively's imagination!
Before the lesson, make sure to check the weather outside to see what type of weather it is. This will help Lively connect the lesson to real life!
Activities
-
Weather Observation:
Take Lively outside and observe the current weather. Ask questions like "Is it sunny or cloudy?" and "Can you feel the wind?" Encourage Lively to describe what they see and feel.
-
Weather Art:
Using just imagination, have Lively draw or act out their favorite type of weather. They can create a sunny day with a big yellow sun or a rainy day with blue raindrops!
-
Weather Dance:
Have a fun dance party where Lively can dance like the wind, jump like raindrops, and twirl like snowflakes. This will help them express different weather conditions through movement!
