Objective

Materials and Prep

• A notebook and pencil for planning
• Access to a computer or gaming console
• Basic knowledge of how to navigate and play Minecraft

Activities

• Resource Gathering Adventure

  Start the lesson by exploring the Minecraft world to gather essential resources like wood, stone, and food. Discuss what resources are needed for building and why they are important.

• Crafting Station

  Once resources are gathered, head to a crafting table. Teach the student how to craft basic tools and building materials. Encourage them to experiment with different combinations!

• Design Your Dream House

  Using the notebook, have the student sketch a simple design of their dream house. Discuss the layout, materials they want to use, and how they can make it unique.

• Building Time!

  Now it’s time to build! Using the resources and the design they created, let the student construct their dream house in Minecraft. Encourage creativity and problem-solving as they build.

• Show and Tell

  After building, have the student give a short presentation about their house. They can explain their design choices and what they enjoyed most about the building process.
