Objective

By the end of this lesson, Priscilla will understand the process of apple picking, learn about different types of apples, and enjoy a fun day at the apple orchard. She will also engage in hands-on activities to reinforce her learning and develop a greater appreciation for nature and healthy eating.

Activities

  • Apple Orchard Tour:

    Take a guided tour of the orchard to learn about how apples grow, different apple varieties, and the importance of orchards in our ecosystem.

  • Apple Picking:

    Let Priscilla pick her own apples from the trees. Encourage her to choose different types and sizes of apples to explore their unique characteristics.

  • Apple Tasting:

    After picking, have a fun tasting session where Priscilla can try different types of apples and describe their flavors and textures.

  • Nature Scavenger Hunt:

    Create a simple scavenger hunt list of things to find in the orchard, such as different colors of leaves, animals, or specific types of apples.

  • Apple Art:

    Using her notebook, Priscilla can draw her favorite apple or the orchard, capturing her experience and creativity.
