Objective

By the end of this lesson, the student will have created a comprehensive "All About Me" project that reflects their personality, interests, and goals. This project will enhance their self-awareness and communication skills while allowing them to express themselves creatively.

Materials and Prep

  • Paper or a notebook
  • Pens, pencils, or colored markers
  • Access to a mirror (for reflection activities)
  • Time for self-reflection and creativity

Before starting the lesson, encourage the student to think about their favorite hobbies, dreams, and what makes them unique. They should be ready to explore and express these ideas creatively.

Activities

  • Self-Portrait Drawing:

Have the student draw a self-portrait that includes not only their physical appearance but also symbols or images that represent their interests and personality traits. This will help them visualize who they are.

  • Favorite Things Collage:

Ask the student to create a collage of their favorite things using drawings or written words. This could include favorite foods, movies, hobbies, or anything that brings them joy. Encourage them to be as creative as possible!

  • Personal Timeline:

Guide the student to create a timeline of significant events in their life. They can include milestones, achievements, and memorable moments that have shaped who they are today.

  • Goal Setting:

Have a discussion about future aspirations and dreams. The student can write down three short-term and three long-term goals, explaining why these goals are important to them.
