Materials and Prep
- A safe open space for physical activity
- An imaginary lightsaber (you can use a pool noodle or a broomstick as a substitute)
- Comfortable clothing and athletic shoes
Activities
- Warm-up: Start with a light jog or jumping jacks for 5 minutes to get your heart rate up and muscles warmed up.
- Lightsaber Strikes: Practice different lightsaber strikes such as horizontal strikes, vertical strikes, and diagonal strikes. Remember to keep your body balanced and use proper form.
- Footwork Drills: Set up cones or markers in a zigzag pattern and practice moving quickly and efficiently between them, pretending to dodge imaginary enemies.
- Lightsaber Duel: Pair up with a partner and take turns engaging in a friendly lightsaber duel. Focus on agility, reaction time, and defensive moves.
- Cool-down: Finish the lesson with a few minutes of stretching exercises to help your muscles relax and prevent any soreness.
