Objective

  • Sunscreen
  • Basic knowledge of camping safety and techniques

Activities

  1. Warm-up: Start with a 5-minute jog or brisk walk to get your heart rate up and prepare your muscles for physical activity.

  2. Camping Skills Practice: Set up a tent in your backyard or a nearby park. Follow the instructions and guidelines provided with the tent to properly pitch it. Pay attention to details like staking, securing guy lines, and ensuring proper ventilation.

  3. Strength and Endurance Training: Engage in a variety of camping-related exercises such as carrying a backpack filled with books or water bottles, performing squats and lunges, and practicing balance on uneven surfaces.

  4. Camping Games: Play camping-themed games like "Capture the Flag" or "Nature Scavenger Hunt" to improve agility, teamwork, and decision-making skills.

  5. Cool-down and Reflection: End the lesson with a 5-minute cool-down activity, such as stretching or a leisurely walk. Reflect on the importance of physical fitness for camping and discuss any challenges or successes encountered during the activities.
