Objective

By the end of this lesson, Blaze will understand basic concepts of building and creativity in Minecraft, and will create a simple structure using their imagination, enhancing their problem-solving skills and understanding of spatial awareness.

Materials and Prep

• Minecraft game (on any device)
• Paper and crayons for planning
• Timer (for fun challenges)

Before the lesson, ensure that Blaze has access to Minecraft and is familiar with basic controls. Prepare some paper and crayons for planning their Minecraft build.

Activities

• Design Your Build

  Blaze will draw their dream house or a fun structure on paper. Encourage them to think about what materials they might use in Minecraft and how they want it to look.

• Building Challenge

  Set a timer for 15 minutes and challenge Blaze to build their design in Minecraft. They can use any materials they want and should focus on creativity!

• Show and Tell

  After building, Blaze will give a mini-tour of their structure in Minecraft, explaining what they built and why they chose those materials.

• Creative Storytelling

  Blaze will come up with a short story about their build. For example, who lives there, what adventures happen, or what special features it has!
