Objective
By the end of this lesson, J will be able to create and present a short radio drama or video blog. J will learn how to organize thoughts, use expressive voice, and communicate ideas clearly while having fun with storytelling.
Materials and Prep
- Paper and crayons for story planning
- A simple timer (like a phone timer) to keep track of practice time
- A quiet space to record or present the newscast or drama
- Optional: A toy microphone or any object to use as a pretend microphone
Before the lesson, think about what kind of story or topic J might want to share. It could be a fun adventure, a news report about their day, or a silly character they create!
Activities
-
Story Creation: J will use paper and crayons to draw pictures and write down ideas for their radio drama or video blog. This will help organize their thoughts and visualize the story.
-
Practice Time: J will practice saying their lines out loud. This can be done in front of a mirror or with a family member. Encourage them to use different voices and expressions!
-
Recording the Show: Using a toy microphone or just their voice, J will perform their radio drama or video blog. If possible, record it on a phone or tablet to listen to later!
-
Sharing Time: After recording, J can share their creation with family members. They can explain what the story is about and why they chose it.
