all about basketball unit study. the kickoff would be when, where and who invented basketball; which covers history and geography especially if we learn about any wars that had occurred at that time. Then we'd some what work our way through the evolution of the game from then until now, incorporating how climate effects the ball and air within it, how they make the court have some bounce; which would be weather, Science and physics. Measuring how far the lines are from the goal post, and the angles of certain shots would be mathematics. Reading poetry written by nba players would be literature and language arts. Listening to songs about basketball would be music. Playing basketball, learning stretching, drills, handles and then showering would be socialization, exercise, physical education, health and hygiene. Baking basketball shaped cookies and learning the measurements and about the reactions due to heat would be more math and science. Creating our own play book would be art and crafts.
