Materials and Prep
- Paper and colored pencils or markers
- A globe or map of Europe (if available)

Before the lesson, familiarize yourself with the European Day of Languages, which is celebrated on September 26th. It's a day to promote language learning and cultural diversity!
Activities
-
Language Bingo:
Create a Bingo card with different languages spoken in Europe. As you call out the languages, the student marks them on their card. This will help them recognize and remember various languages.
-
Language Art:
Ask the student to choose three European languages and create a colorful poster. They can include the names of the languages, some basic words or phrases, and fun facts about each language.
-
Language Challenge:
Have a mini language challenge where the student learns to say "hello" and "thank you" in different European languages. They can practice saying these words and even try to use them in sentences!
