Objective
By the end of this lesson, the student will learn how to prepare a simple lasagna and understand the importance of helping others by delivering food to someone who is sick.
Materials and Prep
- Ingredients for lasagna (noodles, cheese, tomato sauce, ground meat or vegetables)
- Cooking utensils (spatula, spoon, knife, baking dish)
- Oven (with adult supervision)
- Delivery materials (a box or container to hold the lasagna)
- Paper and crayons for a get well card
Before the lesson, make sure you have all the ingredients and materials ready. It’s important to have an adult help with cooking and using the oven!
Activities
-
Cooking Together:
Start by washing your hands and gathering all the ingredients. Then, together with an adult, follow the steps to layer the lasagna. This will help you learn about cooking and teamwork!
-
Making a Get Well Card:
While the lasagna is baking, take some paper and crayons to create a colorful get well card for the sick person. This adds a personal touch to your delivery!
-
Delivery Adventure:
Once the lasagna is ready and cooled, put it in a container and go on a little adventure to deliver it. Talk about how it feels to help someone in need!
