By the end of this lesson, you will be able to practice spelling words related to Star Wars.
Materials and Prep
- Pen or pencil
- Blank paper or a notebook
No prior knowledge or preparation is required for this lesson.
Activities
-
Star Wars Word Search:
Create a word search puzzle using Star Wars-related words. Write a list of 10-15 words related to Star Wars on a piece of paper. Then, using a blank grid, create a word search puzzle by hiding the words in the grid. Give the word search puzzle to the student and have them find and circle the words.
-
Spelling Bee:
Choose 5-10 Star Wars-related words from the word list you created earlier. Call out each word one by one and have the student spell them out loud. Encourage them to use their best effort and correct any mistakes gently.
-
Story Writing:
Ask the student to imagine a Star Wars adventure and write a short story about it. Encourage them to include as many Star Wars-related words as possible in their story. After they finish writing, have them read the story aloud and correct any spelling errors they may have made.
