Objective

By the end of this lesson, Daniella and Alisia will understand the major organs of the human body, their functions, and how they work together to keep us alive. They will also explore the interactive exhibits at the Eureka Museum to reinforce their learning through hands-on activities.

Materials and Prep

  • Access to the Eureka Museum website or brochure
  • Notebook and pen for taking notes
  • Printable worksheets (if available) for organ labeling and functions
  • Access to a computer or tablet for research

Before the lesson, ensure that Daniella and Alisia have access to the museum's resources online. Familiarize them with the layout of the museum and the specific exhibits related to the human body.

Activities

  1. Virtual Tour of the Eureka Museum

Start the lesson with a virtual tour of the Eureka Museum, focusing on the exhibits that highlight the human body and its organs. Encourage Daniella and Alisia to take notes on what they find interesting.

  2. Organ Matching Game

Create a matching game where they match organ names with their functions. This can be done using a simple list or by drawing organs and writing their functions next to them.

  3. Organ Role-Play

Have Daniella and Alisia choose an organ each and role-play its function. They can explain how their organ works and why it is important for the body.

  4. Creative Poster Making

As a fun wrap-up activity, they can create a poster that showcases the human body and highlights the organs they learned about, including fun facts and illustrations.
