Objective

  • Science experiment materials (like vinegar and baking soda)
  • Map of Hogwarts (can be drawn or printed)

Before the lesson, read a chapter from a Harry Potter book to gather ideas for activities.

Activities

  • Art: Create Your Own House Crest

    Using paper and colored pencils, the student will design their own Hogwarts house crest, choosing colors and symbols that represent their personality.

  • English: Write a Letter to a Character

    The student will write a letter to their favorite Harry Potter character, asking questions or sharing their thoughts about the story.

  • Math: House Points Calculation

    Using simple math problems, the student will calculate house points for Gryffindor, Slytherin, Hufflepuff, and Ravenclaw based on imaginary scenarios.

  • Music: Compose a Magical Tune

    Using a simple musical instrument, the student will create a short tune that they think represents the magical world of Harry Potter.

  • Science: Potion Experiment

    The student will conduct a simple science experiment using vinegar and baking soda to create a "potion" that fizzes and bubbles, discussing the science behind it.

  • Social Studies: Map of Hogwarts

    The student will draw or label a map of Hogwarts, identifying key locations and discussing their significance in the story.
