Activities
-
Halloween Art Project: The student will create a Halloween-themed drawing or painting. They can choose to draw a spooky scene, a pumpkin, or their favorite Halloween character. Encourage them to use lots of colors!
-
Spooky Story Writing: The student will write a short spooky story. They can start with "Once upon a Halloween night..." and let their imagination run wild. This will help them practice their writing skills.
-
Math with a Halloween Twist: Create Halloween-themed math problems. For example, "If you have 3 pumpkins and you buy 2 more, how many pumpkins do you have in total?" This will make math fun and relevant to the holiday.
-
Halloween Music Time: The student can sing Halloween songs or listen to spooky music. They can even create their own Halloween song using simple words and rhythms.
-
Science of Pumpkins: Discuss the parts of a pumpkin (skin, seeds, pulp) and what happens when pumpkins grow. If you have a pumpkin, you can explore its features together!
-
Halloween Traditions Discussion: Talk about how different cultures celebrate Halloween. Ask the student what their favorite Halloween tradition is and why.
