Objective

By the end of this lesson, the student will have a better understanding of the cultures and geography of the regions in Genshin Impact, while also enhancing their English language skills through creative writing and storytelling.

Materials and Prep

  • Paper and pencils for writing
  • Access to Genshin Impact game (if possible, for reference)
  • Internet access for research
  • Art supplies (colored pencils, markers, etc.) for creating maps and illustrations

Before the lesson, ensure the student has some familiarity with Genshin Impact and its characters, regions, and lore. A brief discussion about the game can help set the context for the lesson.

Activities

  • Character Exploration:

    The student will choose their favorite character from Genshin Impact and write a short biography. They will include details like the character's background, abilities, and connection to the game's world.

  • World Map Creation:

    The student will draw a map of Teyvat, the world of Genshin Impact, labeling the major regions and important landmarks. They can also include fun facts about each area.

  • Cultural Comparison:

    The student will research one of the cultures represented in Genshin Impact, like Liyue or Mondstadt, and compare it to a real-world culture. They will present their findings in a short paragraph.

  • Storytelling Session:

    The student will create a short story or adventure featuring their chosen character, incorporating elements of the game's lore and geography. They can share their story with family members or record it as a video.
