Activities
- Warm-up: Begin by stretching and doing ballet-inspired movements to get your body ready for reading.
- Read Aloud: Sit in your reading area and have an adult or an older sibling read a ballet-themed book to you. Pay close attention to the words and the pictures.
- Discussion: After the reading, talk about the story. What happened in the beginning, middle, and end? Who were the characters? What was your favorite part?
- Story Retelling: Use the pictures from the book to retell the story in your own words. You can also act out some of the key scenes.
- Writing Activity: Write or draw about your favorite ballet move or the ballet character you liked the most. Use your imagination and be creative!
