Objective

By the end of this lesson, the student will learn interesting facts about scorpions, including their habitat, behavior, and unique features, all while having fun watching Dr. Binocs!

Materials and Prep

  • Access to a device for watching Dr. Binocs videos
  • Paper and crayons or markers for drawing
  • A comfortable space to sit and watch
  • Optional: A notebook for notes or drawings

Before the lesson, make sure to find a Dr. Binocs episode that focuses on scorpions. You can also prepare some fun facts about scorpions to share after watching the video!

Activities

  • Watch Dr. Binocs

    Start by watching an episode of Dr. Binocs that talks about scorpions. Encourage the student to pay attention and think about what they find most interesting.

  • Scorpion Drawing

    After watching, have the student draw their favorite part of the video or create their own scorpion. They can use their imagination to make it colorful and fun!

  • Scorpion Facts Sharing

    Share some cool facts about scorpions that you found. Ask the student to share what they learned from the video and what they think is the coolest thing about scorpions.

  • Scorpion Movement Game

    Play a game where the student pretends to be a scorpion. They can crawl around like a scorpion and show how they move. This will help them remember how scorpions behave!
