Materials and Prep

  • No special materials are needed for this lesson.
  • Be ready to have fun and engage with P. about the Sun!

Activities

  • Sun Drawing: Ask P. to draw a big, bright Sun using crayons or markers. Encourage them to use yellow, orange, and red colors. Talk about how the Sun looks in the sky while they draw.

  • Sun Dance: Play some cheerful music and dance like the Sun! Encourage P. to move their arms and spin around like sun rays. This will help them feel energetic and happy, just like the Sun!

  • Sun Stories: Tell a simple story about a day in the life of the Sun. Use imaginative language and ask P. questions like, "What do you think the Sun sees from the sky?" to spark their imagination.

  • "The Sun helps plants grow and keeps us warm. Isn’t that amazing?"
  • "When we see the Sun, it’s time to play outside and have fun! What do you like to do in the sunshine?"
