Objective

By the end of this lesson, P. will understand the concept of weekly tasks and be able to identify and describe different activities that can be done throughout the week, making learning about days fun and engaging!

Materials and Prep

  • No special materials are needed for this lesson, just your imagination and creativity!
  • Prepare a simple weekly schedule chart on a piece of paper or use your fingers to count the days.
  • Be ready to talk about different activities that can happen on different days!

Activities

  • Day of the Week Song: Sing a fun song about the days of the week together. You can make up your own tune or use a familiar one. This will help P. remember the days!

  • Weekly Tasks Chart: Create a simple chart together by drawing or using your fingers to represent each day of the week. Discuss what fun things can happen on each day!

  • Task Role Play: Pretend to do different tasks for each day. For example, "Today is Monday! Let’s pretend to go to the park!" This will help P. connect the days to real-life activities.

  • Story Time: Read a short story that includes different days of the week. Ask P. about what happens on each day in the story.

Talking Points

  • "Can you sing the days of the week with me?"
  • "What fun things do you like to do on Monday?"
  • "Let’s pretend today is Saturday. What do we do on Saturday?"
  • "Do you remember what we did on Tuesday? Let’s talk about it!"
