Objective

By the end of this lesson, Daniella and Alisia will be able to creatively express their experiences from the Blue Dolphin Haven Holiday Park through art and written reflections. They will learn how to summarize their holiday activities and create a visual representation of what they enjoyed.

Materials and Prep

  • Paper (for drawing and writing)
  • Pencils and colored pencils or markers
  • Access to a quiet space for reflection and creativity
  • A timer (optional, for timed activities)

Before the lesson, Daniella and Alisia should think about their favorite moments from the holiday and be ready to share specific activities they enjoyed. Encourage them to recall what they learned during their time at the park.

Activities

  • Memory Map:

Daniella and Alisia will create a "Memory Map" of their holiday, illustrating the different areas of the park they visited and the activities they did in each spot. They can draw symbols or small pictures representing each activity (like swimming, hiking, or playing games).

  • Holiday Reflection Journal:

Each student will write a short journal entry reflecting on their holiday. They should describe what they did, what they learned, and how it made them feel. This can be done as a list or in paragraph form.

  • Artistic Expression:

Using their drawings and journal entries, Daniella and Alisia will create a collage or poster that showcases their holiday experiences. They can combine drawings, words, and colors to represent their time at the park visually.
