- Imagination Journal: Have the student write a short diary entry from Anne's perspective after her first day at Green Gables. Encourage them to express Anne's feelings and thoughts about her new home and friends.
- Friendship Collage: Using art supplies, the student will create a collage that represents the theme of friendship as seen in these chapters. They can include quotes and images that symbolize Anne's relationships.
- Role Play: Act out a scene from the chapters that highlights Anne's imagination or her interactions with Marilla. This can be done with the student taking on the role of Anne and the teacher as Marilla or other characters.
