Before the lesson, ensure the area is clear for activities. Familiarize yourself with the colors you will be using, and prepare to engage the student with questions and fun activities.
Activities
- Color Hunt:
Go on a color hunt around the house or yard. Ask the student to find items that match the colors you have chosen. This will help them learn to identify colors in their environment.
- Color Sorting:
Use the colorful paper or fabric scraps to create a sorting game. Have the student sort the colors into different containers. This activity reinforces color recognition and categorization.
- Colorful Art:
Give the student crayons or markers and let them create a colorful masterpiece. Encourage them to use as many colors as possible and talk about their choices as they draw.
