Materials and Prep
- No materials needed.
- Be prepared to explore colors in various objects around the house.
- Have a positive attitude and be ready to have fun!
Activities
-
Color Hunt: Go around the house and find objects of different colors. Ask the student to name the colors as they find them. This will help them recognize colors in their environment.
-
Color Sorting: Gather some toys or household items and ask the student to sort them by color. This will encourage them to think critically about colors and how they relate to each other.
-
Color Drawing: Use a blank piece of paper to draw with imaginary crayons. Ask the student to draw something using their favorite colors and talk about their choices.
-
Color Song: Sing a fun color song together! You can make up a song about colors or sing a popular one like "I Can Sing a Rainbow." This will reinforce color names in a joyful way.
