Objective

Before the lesson, make sure to gather a variety of small objects that can be easily counted. It could be anything from crayons to stuffed animals. Prepare to have fun and be energetic!

Activities

  • Counting with Fingers: Start by showing your fingers and count them together. Use phrases like "Let's count our fingers! One, two, three..." This will help the student connect numbers with their fingers.

  • Object Hunt: Go on a mini scavenger hunt around the house to find 10 different objects. As you find each one, count them together. For example, "Look! We found one toy. Now let's find another!"

  • Number Song: Sing a simple counting song, like "Five Little Ducks" or "Ten in the Bed." This will make learning to count fun and memorable!
