Activities
- Counting Fun:
Gather some small toys or blocks and have the student count them out loud. You can ask them to group the objects into sets of five or ten to make counting easier.
- Colorful Number Art:
Using paper and crayons, have the student draw their favorite numbers. Encourage them to decorate the numbers with colors and patterns. This helps them recognize numbers visually.
- Jumping Math:
Set up a jumping game where the student jumps a certain number of times based on a number you call out. For example, say "Jump 3 times!" and count together.
- Number Stories:
Tell a short story that includes numbers, like "There were 5 little ducks swimming in a pond." Ask the student to repeat the numbers and act out the story with their toys.
