Objective
By the end of this lesson, you will understand what a web page is and how it can be made special with some fun rules, just like a treasure map that helps people find what they want!
Materials and Prep
- Colorful paper
- Crayons or markers
- Stickers (optional)
- Scissors (with adult supervision)
- Glue or tape
Before starting the lesson, make sure you have a clean workspace and all your materials ready. You can also think about your favorite things to put on your web page!
Activities
-
Draw Your Web Page: Use colorful paper to draw what you want your web page to look like. You can add pictures of your favorite toys, animals, or even your family!
-
Create a Treasure Map: Make a treasure map using crayons and stickers. This map will show where everything is on your web page, just like how web pages have special rules to help people find things!
-
Story Time: Tell a story about your web page! What will people find there? What fun things will they see? Use your imagination and share your ideas!
-
Show and Tell: Once you're done, share your web page with someone at home! Explain what each part is and why it’s special, just like you would show a treasure map to a friend!
