Objective
By the end of this lesson, the student will be able to recognize and name different colors while having fun with color-related activities!
Materials and Prep
- Colored paper (red, blue, yellow, green, etc.)
- Crayons or markers in different colors
- Small objects in various colors (toys, buttons, etc.)
- Space to move around for activities
Make sure to have a comfortable area to sit and play, and gather all the colored materials before starting the lesson.
Activities
- Color Hunt:
Go on a color hunt around the house! Ask the student to find objects that match each color you show them. For example, “Can you find something red?”
- Color Mixing:
Using crayons or markers, show how to mix colors. For example, take blue and yellow and explain how they make green. Let the student try mixing colors too!
- Color Art:
Have the student create a colorful masterpiece using the colored paper and crayons. Encourage them to use as many colors as they can!
