Objective
By the end of this lesson, the student will have a greater understanding of Denmark's culture, geography, and history, as well as its significance in the world. The student will also engage in creative activities that reinforce their learning and allow them to express their understanding of Denmark.
Materials and Prep

- Preparation: Familiarize yourself with Denmark's key facts, such as its capital, language, flag, and famous landmarks.
Activities

Have the student design their own flag for Denmark! They can draw inspiration from the Danish flag, known as the "Dannebrog," and create a flag that represents their own vision of Denmark. Once completed, they can explain their design choices.

Guide the student through a virtual tour of Copenhagen, Denmark's capital. They can research famous sites like Tivoli Gardens, The Little Mermaid statue, and Nyhavn. Encourage them to take notes on what they find interesting about each location.

Choose a simple Danish recipe (like Danish pastries or open-faced sandwiches) to make together. Discuss the ingredients and the cultural significance of the dish while cooking.
