Activities

1. Warm-up: Start by discussing the student's favorite football team or player. Ask them to describe why they like them using descriptive words. Write down their responses on the board or a piece of paper.

2. Introduction to descriptive language: Show the student a football-themed picture or toy (if available) and ask them to describe it using as many descriptive words as possible. Encourage them to think about the color, shape, texture, and size of the object.

3. Guided writing activity: Provide the student with a simple football-related sentence starter, such as "The football field is..." or "I love playing football because...". Ask them to complete the sentence with their own ideas and encourage them to use descriptive language. Assist them in forming complete sentences if needed.

4. Independent writing activity: Give the student a blank piece of paper and ask them to write a short story about a football game or their experience playing football. Remind them to use descriptive language and proper sentence structure. Offer assistance and guidance as necessary.

5. Sharing and feedback: After the student has finished writing, have them read their story aloud or share it with a family member. Provide positive feedback and ask questions to further engage them in the writing process.
