Objective

By the end of this lesson, the student will have a deeper understanding of the Viking Age, the Norman Conquest, the Middle Ages, and the reign of King Henry VIII and Queen Elizabeth I. Activities

  • Norman Conquest Role Play

    Engage in a role-play activity where the student can take on the roles of key figures during the Norman Conquest, such as William the Conqueror or King Harold. They will reenact the Battle of Hastings and discuss the impact of the conquest on England.

  • Medieval Feast Planning

  • Henry VIII and Elizabethan Drama

    Explore the reign of Henry VIII and the Elizabethan era by writing a short play or monologue based on events from that time. The student can perform their piece, incorporating historical facts and figures.
