Objective

By the end of this lesson, Phoenix will have a basic understanding of astrology, its history, and how to identify and interpret their zodiac sign. They will also engage in creative activities and a research project to explore astrology further.

Materials and Prep

  • Coloring materials (crayons, markers, colored pencils)
  • Printouts of astrology-themed pictures (zodiac signs, constellations)
  • Paper for notes and project ideas
  • Access to books or online resources for research (if available)
  • Knowledge of the basic zodiac signs and their meanings

Activities

  • Introduction to Astrology:

Begin the lesson by discussing what astrology is and its significance in understanding personality traits and life events based on the position of celestial bodies. Share a brief history of astrology, including its origins in ancient civilizations.

  • Coloring Activity:

While coloring astrology-themed pictures, Phoenix will learn about their specific zodiac signs: Sagittarius, Capricorn, and Virgo. Discuss the traits and characteristics associated with each sign, encouraging them to express their creativity through art.

  • Research Project:

Conclude the lesson by inviting Phoenix to choose a specific aspect of astrology to research further. This could include learning about other zodiac signs, famous astrologers, or how astrology is used in different cultures.
