Objective
By the end of this lesson, the student will create a personalized dream board that visually represents their goals and aspirations. This will help them clarify what they want to achieve and motivate them to work towards their dreams.
Materials and Prep
- Large piece of paper or cardboard
- Magazines, newspapers, or printed images from the internet
- Scissors
- Glue or tape
- Markers, colored pencils, or crayons
- Optional: Stickers, glitter, or other decorative items
Before the lesson, the student should think about their goals and dreams. Encourage them to consider different aspects of their life, such as education, hobbies, relationships, and travel.
Activities
-
Goal Brainstorming:
Begin with a brainstorming session where the student writes down all their dreams and goals on a piece of paper. Encourage them to think big and include everything they desire to achieve.
-
Image Collection:
Have the student go through magazines or online images to find pictures, words, or quotes that resonate with their dreams. They can cut out or print these images to use on their dream board.
-
Creating the Dream Board:
Once they have collected their images and words, guide the student to arrange them on their large piece of paper or cardboard. They can glue or tape their items down and add their own drawings or writings to personalize the board.
-
Presentation:
After completing the dream board, the student can present it to a family member or friend. They should explain each part of the board and what it represents in their life.
