Objective

Materials and Prep

  • Various sheets of paper (colored, patterned, plain)
  • Scissors
  • Glue or tape
  • Markers or colored pencils
  • Magazines or printed images for cutting out
  • Stickers or decorative items (if available)
  • Notebook or journal for brainstorming ideas

Before the lesson, make sure to gather all the materials listed above. It’s also helpful to think about a theme or topic for the scrapbook page, such as a favorite hobby, memorable trip, or family events.

Activities

  • Brainstorming Session: Start by writing down ideas for your scrapbook page. Think about what theme you want to use and what images or stories you want to include. This will help you focus your creativity!

  • Image Collection: Look through magazines or printed images to find pictures that match your theme. Cut them out and set them aside for your scrapbook page.

  • Design Layout: Before gluing anything down, arrange your images and decorations on the page to see what looks best. Play with different layouts until you find one that you love!

  • Final Assembly: Once you’re happy with the layout, start gluing or taping everything down. Use markers or colored pencils to add captions or doodles that enhance your page.

  • Reflection and Sharing: After completing your scrapbook page, take a moment to reflect on the process. Share your page with a family member or friend, explaining your choices and what the page means to you.
