Objective

By the end of this lesson, the student will create a personalized dream board that visually represents their goals, aspirations, and dreams. This activity will help them clarify their desires and motivate them to work towards achieving these goals.

Materials and Prep

  • Paper (any size)
  • Markers, colored pencils, or crayons
  • Magazines or printed images (optional)
  • Glue or tape (if using images)
  • Scissors (if using images)
  • A quiet space for creativity

Before starting the lesson, it's helpful to think about what dreams and goals the student wants to include on their dream board. Encourage them to reflect on various aspects of their life, such as personal growth, career aspirations, hobbies, and relationships.

Activities

  • Brainstorming Session: Start with a brainstorming session where the student writes down all their dreams and goals. Encourage them to think big and not limit themselves. This can include things like "travel the world," "become a scientist," or "learn to play the guitar."
  • Creating the Dream Board: Using the paper and art supplies, the student will create their dream board. They can draw, write, or paste images that represent their goals. This is a chance for them to express themselves creatively and visually.
  • Sharing and Discussing: Once the dream board is complete, have the student share their board with you. Ask them to explain why they chose each item and how it relates to their dreams and goals. This can help reinforce their aspirations and build confidence in sharing their ideas.
