Objective

By the end of this lesson, Gatlin will learn about Spring, including the changes in nature, the weather, and the different activities that happen during this cheerful season.

Materials and Prep

  • Be ready to go outside if possible to explore nature!

Activities

  • Nature Walk:

    Go outside and take a walk to observe the changes in nature. Look for flowers blooming, trees budding, and any animals you might see. Talk about what you find!

  • Spring Drawing:

    Draw a picture of what you think Spring looks like. Use bright colors to represent flowers, sunshine, and happy animals!

  • Spring Songs:

    Sing a fun song about Spring. You can make up your own or sing a popular one like "Here Comes the Sun!"

  • Planting Seeds:

    If you have seeds, talk about planting them in a garden or a pot. Discuss how plants grow in Spring and what they need to thrive.

  • "What do you notice about the weather in Spring? Is it warmer or colder?"
  • "Can you see any flowers or leaves? What colors do you see?"
  • "What animals do you think like Spring? Why do you think they come out now?"
  • "Do you remember what we can do in Spring? Like planting flowers or playing outside?"
