Objective

By the end of this lesson, the student will be able to analyze and interpret literary elements in the context of the popular game Genshin Impact.

Materials and Prep

  • Computer or gaming device with Genshin Impact installed
  • Access to the internet
  • Pen and paper

No prior knowledge of Genshin Impact is required, but some familiarity with the game would be beneficial.

Activities

  1. Introduce the concept of literary elements such as plot, setting, characters, and theme.

  2. Have the student play Genshin Impact for a designated amount of time, focusing on observing and noting down any literary elements they encounter in the game.

  3. After playing, ask the student to share their observations and discuss the literary elements they identified. Encourage them to provide specific examples from the game.

  4. Guide the student in analyzing the impact of these literary elements on the overall story and gameplay experience of Genshin Impact.

  5. Assign the student a short written reflection where they analyze and interpret the literary elements they observed in Genshin Impact, explaining how these elements contribute to the game's narrative and player engagement.
