Materials and Prep
- Minecraft game (any version that the student has access to)
- A comfortable and quiet place to play
- Notebook and pencil for planning
Before the lesson, make sure the Minecraft game is installed and ready to play. It’s also helpful to have a basic understanding of how to navigate the game.
Activities
-
Creative Building Challenge
The student will choose a theme (like a castle, a spaceship, or a treehouse) and plan their building in their notebook. They can draw their design and list the materials they will need.
-
Resource Gathering Adventure
After planning, the student will go on an adventure in Minecraft to gather the necessary resources for their building project. They will learn how to find wood, stone, and other materials.
-
Building Time!
Using the materials they gathered, the student will start building their chosen structure in Minecraft. Encourage them to be creative and to try new things!
-
Show and Tell
Once the building is complete, the student will give a short presentation about their creation. They can explain what they built, why they chose that theme, and what challenges they faced while building.
