Objective
By the end of this lesson, the student will have a foundational understanding of Ancient Egyptian civilization, including its culture, religion, and significant achievements. Before the lesson, it may be helpful to have a brief overview of Ancient Egypt, including its timeline, major achievements, and key figures. This can be done through a quick internet search or a library visit if needed.

Creative Hieroglyphics:
The student will create their own hieroglyphic alphabet using symbols to represent their name and a few favorite words. This activity will help them understand the significance of writing in Ancient Egypt.

The student will sketch a design for a pyramid and write down the purpose of pyramids in Ancient Egypt. They can also include what they would want to be buried with if they were an ancient Egyptian pharaoh.
