Objective

By the end of this lesson, Brodi will have a deeper understanding of how to create and play educational games using Kahoot, enhancing his knowledge retention and making learning more interactive and fun.

Materials and Prep

  • Access to a computer or tablet with internet connection
  • Kahoot account (can be created for free)
  • Headphones (optional, for a more immersive experience)
  • A list of topics Brodi is interested in (to create Kahoot quizzes)

Before the lesson, ensure that Brodi has created a Kahoot account and is familiar with the platform's interface. It might be helpful to have a few topics in mind for quiz creation.

Activities

  • Quiz Creation:

    Brodi will select a topic he enjoys and create a Kahoot quiz with at least 10 questions. This will help him learn how to formulate questions and answers effectively.

  • Playing Kahoot:

    After creating the quiz, Brodi will invite friends or family members to play the quiz with him. This will encourage social interaction and friendly competition.

  • Explore Existing Kahoots:

    Brodi can search for and play existing Kahoot quizzes on topics he is interested in. This will allow him to see different question formats and styles.

  • Reflection:

    Brodi will take some time to reflect on what he learned from creating and playing the quizzes. He will write down his thoughts on what worked well and what could be improved.
