Objective

By the end of this lesson, Brodi will be able to reflect on his gym workout by identifying the muscles targeted, recognizing areas for improvement, and creating a personalized weekly workout plan that aligns with his fitness goals.

Materials and Prep

  • Notebook or journal for tracking workouts
  • Pens or pencils for writing
  • Access to a mirror for self-assessment (optional)
  • Knowledge of basic muscle groups and exercises

Activities

  • Muscle Mapping: Brodi will sketch a simple diagram of the human body and label the major muscle groups. This will help him visualize which muscles he targeted during his workout.
  • Workout Reflection: Brodi will write a short reflection on his last workout, noting which exercises he performed and the corresponding muscle groups worked. He can also express how he felt during each exercise.
  • Goal Setting: Together, we will discuss areas Brodi wants to improve, whether it’s strength, endurance, or flexibility, and set realistic goals for the upcoming week.
  • Weekly Workout Plan Creation: Brodi will create a workout plan for the week, including exercises, sets, and reps. This will help him stay organized and committed to his fitness journey.
