Objective

By the end of this lesson, the student will be able to introduce themselves in Japanese, count from 1 to 10, and understand basic Japanese greetings.

Activities

  1. Activity 1: Self-Introduction

    Have the student practice introducing themselves in Japanese. Provide them with a model script and encourage them to personalize it with their own information. Practice pronunciation together and offer feedback.

  2. Activity 2: Counting in Japanese

    Teach the student how to count from 1 to 10 in Japanese. Write the numbers on the board and have them repeat after you. Practice counting objects in the room together using the newly learned numbers.

  3. Activity 3: Basic Greetings

    Introduce common Japanese greetings such as "Ohayou gozaimasu" (Good morning), "Konnichiwa" (Hello), and "Sayonara" (Goodbye). Practice pronunciation and encourage the student to use these greetings throughout the day.
