Activities
- Start by reviewing the Spanish alphabet and pronunciation.
- Introduce the phrases for hello, good evening, good afternoon, and good morning.
- Practice saying the phrases out loud several times.
- Create flashcards with the phrases written in Spanish on one side and their English translations on the other side.
- Play a matching game with the flashcards. Shuffle the cards and place them face down on the table. Take turns flipping over two cards at a time to find matching pairs of phrases.
- Once the matching game is complete, have a conversation with the student using the phrases learned. Encourage them to respond appropriately using the correct greeting for the time of day.
