Objective
By the end of this lesson, the student will be able to identify different types of weather during springtime, understand how weather affects our daily lives, and express their feelings about the weather through fun activities.
Materials and Prep
- No materials needed, just a curious mind and a willingness to learn!
- Be prepared to talk about different types of weather and how they feel.
- Think about your own experiences with spring weather and how it makes you feel.
Activities
-
Weather Dance:
Play a fun game where we dance like the weather! When we say "sunny," we can twirl around like the sun. When we say "rainy," we can wiggle our fingers like raindrops falling. Let's make our bodies move like the weather!
-
Feel the Weather:
Close your eyes and imagine the weather. Is it sunny? Feel the warmth on your face! Is it windy? Make your arms wave like the wind! Let's talk about how each weather feels!
-
Weather Story Time:
Let's create a story about a day in spring! We can take turns adding to the story. You can say, "Once upon a time, it was sunny and the flowers bloomed!" and I will add to it. This helps us use our imagination!
Talking Points
- "What do you see outside today? Is it sunny, rainy, or cloudy?"
- "How does the sun make you feel? Does it make you happy?"
- "What do you like to do when it rains? Do you like to jump in puddles?"
