Materials and Prep

- Access to an episode of Dora the Explorer

Activities
- Watch an episode of Dora the Explorer with the student.
- Discuss the main characters, setting, and plot of the episode.
- Ask the student to choose their favorite part of the episode.
- Encourage the student to think about what they would do if they were in Dora's shoes.
- Guide the student to write a short story based on their chosen favorite part, using their imagination to continue the adventure.
- Allow the student to illustrate their story.
- Review the story together, helping the student with spelling and grammar if needed.
