Objective
By the end of this lesson, you will be able to create a colorful hummingbird artwork using basic art materials.
Materials and Prep
- White paper
- Colored pencils or markers
- Pencil
- Eraser
- Reference images of hummingbirds (can be found online or in books)
Prior to the lesson, gather the materials and print out a few reference images of hummingbirds for inspiration.
Activities
Start by observing the reference images of hummingbirds. Notice their shapes, colors, and patterns.
Using a pencil, lightly sketch the outline of a hummingbird on your white paper. You can use the reference images as a guide, but feel free to add your own creative touches.
Once you are satisfied with your sketch, start adding color using colored pencils or markers. Experiment with different shades and patterns to make your hummingbird vibrant and unique.
Once you have finished coloring, carefully erase any visible pencil lines to clean up your artwork.
Take a moment to admire your beautiful hummingbird artwork!
