Objective

Materials and Prep
- No special materials are needed, just the garden area with flower beds and weeds to pull.
- Make sure to choose a sunny day for outdoor activities and wear comfortable clothing.
- Prepare to discuss the different types of plants in the flower bed and what makes a weed.
Activities

Weed Identification Walk:
Take a stroll around the flower bed and help the student identify which plants are flowers and which are weeds. Discuss the differences between them.

Set a timer for a fun challenge! See how many weeds the student can pull out in 5 minutes. Celebrate their effort with a cheer!

After pulling weeds, use the flowers and leaves to create a nature collage on the ground. Discuss the colors and shapes of the plants used.
