First Grade Talking Points
- "Today, we are going to have fun with Pokémon while practicing our math skills!"
- "We will be using Pokémon cards or pictures to help us with addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division."
- "Addition means combining two numbers to find the total."
- "Subtraction means taking away one number from another to find the difference."
- "Multiplication means repeated addition. For example, if we have 3 Pokémon with 5 HP each, we can multiply 3 by 5 to find the total HP."
- "Division means sharing or splitting a number into equal parts. For example, if we have 10 HP and want to divide it equally among 5 Pokémon, we can find out how much HP each Pokémon will get."
- "Let's have fun and become Pokémon math masters!"
